Gazelle Girl Half Marathon and 5K
Here's all the information you need if you want to take part in the Gazelle Girl 1/2 Marathon and 5K!
· The Gazelle Girl Half Marathon and 5k began in 2013 as the first women’s-only half marathon event in Michigan.
· The run, organized by Gazelle Sports, connects women through movement, achievement, celebration, friendship and fun.
· Proceeds from the event will benefit Kent County Girls on the Run, Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW), the YWCA, D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s Sisters in Support program, all organizations dedicated to empowering women of all ages.
· Trying to get new runners involved. 25% of marathon participants are new to the event.
· Choose to register for both the Gazelle Girl Half Marathon in April and the Fifth Third River Bank Run 25k in May and you’ll earn a $25 Gazelle Sports gift certificate for your efforts.
· Gazelle Girls will be eligible to enter to win one of seven “Sign Up, Share & Win” price packages from now until midnight on Friday, February 28 offered by Grand Rapids’ new luxury lash lounge and brow bar, Siren and Proper and Cheeky Strut Salon.
o Two “Fox Face” packages (valued at $250) to Siren and Proper will be given away to seven randomly selected entrants as well as five $100 gift cards to Cheeky Strut. To enter, visit facebook.com/GazelleGirlHalfMarathon.
· Currently the cost is $75 for half marathon entrants and $25 for 5k entrants.
· After Friday, February 28, the registration cost goes up to $85 and $30, respectively.
