Do you want to get involved in a fun run, 5k, 10k, or really any other type of "k" this summer? The Insane Inflatables 5k comes to mind! I found a way to help you keep up with your friends!

I'm not really a runner. Yes, I run, but I use the term "run" extremely loosely. I joke that it's more of a fast waddle around the trails at Millennium Park, it's just easier to call it running. Calling in jogging is so 1995!

So if you're like me and you enjoy the fast waddle, yet are not competitive, you have to check out this website. It's from Hal Higdon, my understanding is he's a big deal in the running world, in fact he has contributed to Runner's World since 1966. So I'm going to guess that this guy knows what he's talking about.

Anyway, the site...

It's the perfect guide for any type of run you want to complete. For example, I'm working on improving my 5k time. I can do the distance easy, but my time is usually around 29 minutes. The site gives you a plan based on your experience, anywhere from your first 5k to training for maximum performance. I want to improve my 5k time, so I chose the intermediate plan, which charts out which days and how far I should run!

I highly suggest checking this site out if you're looking to run your first 5k or if you're looking to improve your time!
