With that being said, 82% of people hope to make new friends in 2016.

Here are the most common New Years resolutions and how friends can play a role:

  • 74% of people plan to exercise more but 26% say they will only do it if they have a gym buddy.
  • 92% of people plan on saving more money while 55% will look for a new job. Most people believe that more friends means more happiness at work and the more friends you have the more likely you are to get promoted.
  • 82% (of women) will improve their look for the new year and the more friends you have the more likely you are to get style compliments.

Friends can definitely be good motivators so as long as you have 1-3 friends that can keep  you grounded, and vice versa, you're on your way to a happier and healthier new year, and new you!
