If you have an old computer, TV or other electronic device that you want to recycle, you can do it for free this weekend!  And you'll get rid of it in an environmentally friendly way, too!

Saturday, June 29th, Comprenew of Grand Rapids is hosting electronics recycling events at these locations:

Fifth Third Ballpark.  9am-1pm.  Drop-off items on the south side of the ballpark in front of the main staircase (facing 131).

Downtown Holiday Inn (131 at Pearl Street).  9am-12noon.  Drop-off available in the parking lot.

This is NOT for big box appliances, air conditioners or refrigerators.

According to Comprenew, almost anything with a cord or a battery will be accepted.

Accepted Items include:
  • Office and Household Electronics(cell phones, radios, microwaves, VCRs, TVs, etc.)
  • Computer Components and Accessories (laptops, PCs, monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, speakers, PDAs, memory sticks, modems, power cords, etc.)
  • Have a question about acceptable items?  Call 616.451.4400, option 1
  • Data security of computer hard drives is guaranteed.
