Frederik Meijer Gardens Adds Tegan & Sara To Summer Concert Line-up

Frederik Meijer Gardens has announced indie-rock duo Tegan and Sara as the latest addition to its summer concert lineup.

The indie-rock duo from Canada will take the Meijer Gardens stage on June 28. Most recently, they have released a catchy hit song, "Everything is Awesome,"  which is a collaboration with The Lonely Island, and was featured in The Lego Movie.

Tegan and Sara recently announced a full North American tour on their official website, and their Grand Rapids show was confirmed today. The opening acts will be The Courtneys and My Midnight Heart.

The show is the fourth to be announced thus far by Frederik Meijer Gardens. Last month, they confirmed three acts for the series: KC and the Sunshine Band July 24, Needtobreathe June 21, and Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland July 19.

Ticket prices and a complete lineup for the series should be announced in mid-April. A ticket presale for members will take place starting at 9 a.m. April 26  and continue through May 9. The on-sale date for the general public will be May 10. Tickets will be available at the Gardens box office or online via Star Tickets. Service fees apply for Star Tickets purchases.
