There's a new undersheriff in town!

Well, not really new, Michelle Young has been around the Kent County Sheriff's Department since 1989, according to WOOD-TV 8. Young worked her way up the chain to chief deputy in 2011 and now becomes the first woman to hold the position of undersheriff, second in command, in Kent County.

Young is replacing former Kent County Undersheriff Jon Hess, who retired after 36 years.
