Apparently the press tour for Fifty Shades of Grey in 2015 was just much too sexy, because Universal has slapped a gag order right onto the faces of the Fifty Shades Darker stars, forbidding them from making any sorts of innuendoes while promoting a movie about sex, lies, and BDSM.

The tabloid Page Six reports that in an effort to whip its actors into shape the studio has banned any kind of “kinky talk” and instead wants Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan to push the romance elements of the film instead. On one hand, Darker does look quite a bit more plot-heavy than the first movie, but also, come on, Universal, why do you hate fun?

God bless Marcia Gay Harden (Christian Grey’s mother in the movies), who gave an interview to the tabloid in which she talked about Universal’s nipple clamp policy: namely, that they “can’t talk too much” about them. She described some fun she’d had on Twitter where she’d posted a few less-than-PG tweets as “Mama Grey,” and Universal told her to knock it off.

It also doesn’t help that Johnson and Dornan clearly don’t really like each other that much, and probably resorted to making as many off-color jokes during joint interviews as they could to avoid actually having to talk to each other, like a relationship purely based on physicality whose members don’t realize yet that they actually have nothing in common with one another. Hmm.

But don’t worry too much, because Dakota Johnson and her oh-my-god-I-can’t-believe-I’m-still-doing-this face is bound to be there, which, really, is the only reason to pay attention to the press tour anyway.

Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters February 10.
