Female Ref Could Make It To NFL

This football season could see an AWESOME progression! A female referee might just make it to the big time!

Sarah Thomas who is 39 might be the first female referee that the NFL has ever seen. She's also the first female ref to preside over an NCAA football game back in 2007 as well as be the first female to referee a bowl game. So, she knows her stuff.

The league said that Thomas is definitely on their radar and has been for the past 5 years. So, things are definitely in the pipeline for her.

They said that she'll have to interview and if she gets to ref for the NFL she will have to (like all other refs) adjust to the speed of the NFL as opposed to the NCAA.
