Father of the Year: Dad Sells Son’s Car for Smoking Pot in It [Video]

When your kids misbehave or are disrespectful, how do you go about punishing them? This Florida dad has gone viral for his creative form of punishment.

According to CNN, Allan Gieger Jr. posted an ad trying to sell his 18-year-old son's 1998 Ford Explorer on Craigslist. In the ad he states:

...he thinks its cool to drive around with his friends smokin dope and acting all thug..."

He also says that his son isn't showing he or his wife the respect they deserve. Therefore, he's teaching him a lesson. He also said he would take $250 from someone who lives in the area so his son can see that person driving it around which will make him realize how good he had it. Brilliant!

Many people, especially parents, are praising Gieger for the way he chose to punish his son. He said he received multiple messages from people not even interested in the car but just wanting to commend him for his parenting style. And if you're wondering... Gieger was able to sell the car within a couple of hours but plans on leaving the ad up so it stays as a reminder to his son.

News4Jax says that Allen III didn't want to comment (obviously) but its been an eye-opening experience and is instead focused on getting his diploma now.
