Does New JC Penney Ad Promote Bullying?

A new JC Penney ad is under a lot of fire because it may (or may not) promote bullying. Here’s why…

The ad, which is promoting back to school, shows a kid eating lunch by himself for about 4 seconds.

So, naturally parents think that this promotes bullying. Huh?

In the ad a mom is talking about why she went to JC Penney to get her kids the right brands because it could “make or break their entire year”.

Well, they show one kid eating lunch by himself because he’s not wearing the right label or something.

The part of the commercial is about 4 seconds. The rest of the ad shows kids getting along.

What do you think? Promoting bullying or not?
