On Tuesday, we received some good news about West Michigan's economy.

This latest report says 2012 should be a year of growth across the country and Michigan could do even better.

What do you think?

WZZM reports:

George Erickcek, from the Upjohn Institute for Employment Research in Kalamazoo presented the economic outlook this morning at a conference in Holland.

Erickcek says 2012 should be a year of growth in the U.S., but the employment rate should stay around 8%. However in Michigan, with the growing success of the auto industry, unemployment could drop even further.

There are dozens of reports and statistics which analyze and forecast our economy, but sometimes a simple gut feeling can tell us just as much.
