The DNR is asking for the public's help identifying two jet skiers who plowed into a flock of geese on Mona Lake in Muskegon County around 2 p.m.July 10.

WZZM-13 reports that several of the Canadian geese were injured and one was killed. The incident was caught on video.

According to the DNR, the two jet skiers circle the geese, before running them over, injuring about three geese. Later, a witness found a geese that had died.

Witnesses described the riders as white, and one having long hair. One of the jet skis is purple and the other is white and yellow.

Lt. Gerald Thayer, District 7 supervisor for the DNR’s Law Enforcement Division said,

"It’s important we identify the suspects involved in this incident so justice is served. We appreciate any information citizens can provide that helps us resolve this case.”

The jet skiers actions are considered a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 90 days in jail and fines up to $500.
