Did You Know That Chickens Purr? [Video]

I have to say, there are a lot of things about animals that I don't know. But, I thought that I had "sounds that animals make" down by the time I was two years old. Turns out, nope! Because today I learned that chickens purr!

This is a rescue hen at Manning River Farm Animal Sanctuary, and every day she waits for one of the people that works there to come hang out with her and pet her for a bit. And she purrs!
