The Detroit Lions have fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi and offensive line coaches Jeremiah Washburn and Terry Heffernan.

This move comes as no surprise to us Lions fans, we've seen the Lions' offense has take huge steps in the wrong direction this season, even though their offensive line up looks solid.

Quarterbacks coach Jim Bob Cooter has been named as the offensive coordinator moving forward. This is Cooter's second season with the Lions organization.

The Lions have begun this year's season with an atrocious 1-6 record.

In a press conference around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Jim Caldwell was very cryptic when asked if changes were coming. He said none were planned at that time, but there could be some coming in the future.

The future (five hours later) is now.
