Dad Becomes Internet Hero by Wearing Short-Shorts to Teach Daughter a Lesson

Becky Mack’s Blog of Mild Chaos

You think your dad embarrasses you in public? Wait’ll you see this guy.

Utah father Scott Mackintosh is the star of the above photo in which he sports a pair of short shorts.

So, how exactly did the now-infamous pic come to be?

Mackintosh explained he put on the unlikely get-up as a way to teach his daughter a lesson about dressing appropriately after she wouldn’t put on a pair of long shorts during a family outing in August:

Instead of turning her response and disrespectful attitude into a major battle, I decided to make a ‘small’ statement on how her short-shorts maybe aren’t as ‘cute’ as she thinks.”

Mackintosh decided to take a pair of jeans and cut them down to make the shorts he wound up wearing that earned plenty of stares from people when they went to dinner, not to mention glares of horror from his daughter.

Mackintosh’s scheme seems to have paid off. He says his daughter now dresses “a little bit better” now.
