Congresswoman Asks To “Shut Down” Her Pay During Government Shutdown

I'd like to say I'm surprised that our so-called "leaders" couldn't come to an agreement on funding the government for fiscal year 2014. But this? This is not a look of surprise.

I don't care if you/they are Republican or Democrat - we need to vote EVERY SINGLE ONE of them OUT and replace them with people who actually care about representing us and running the country.  This is ridiculous.

Did you realize that while the government is "shut down," members of Congress and the House of Representatives still get paid?  How convenient.  The ones causing the problems and putting others on "vacation without pay" still get their money.

But a Congresswoman from Kansas - Lynn Jenkins - has requested that she not be paid until "our government is operating again."   She posted the request to her Facebook page on Tuesday.
