Coldplay Pays Tribute To Beastie Boy Adam Yauch [Video]

YouTube

The music world lost a true talent Friday with the passing of The Beastie Boys’ MCA (real name Adam Yauch). The music community was rocked by the news that one of their beloved members had passed away after a battle with cancer. But, as they say in show business “the show much go on”… sort of.

Friday night at their show at the Hollywood Bowl in California, Coldplay paid tribute to the fellow musician with a rendition of one of the Beastie Boys’ biggest hits “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)”.  Check out the video after the jump! http://youtu.be/LVr4UP9ntLs

You can’t help but get chills when you hear this song, which you heard in the Beastie Boys’ voices for so long, sang in a sad, and almost mournful way.
