A new study shows that coffee can lead to a reduced number of auto accidents.

The British Medical Journal released a study they did with truck drivers that drive a long distance. About 43% of those drivers used some kind of caffeine, like coffee or energy drinks, to stay awake.

Though they slept less than drivers who didn't, those who used caffeine were much less likely to get into an accident. Those drivers saw about 63% fewer accidents to be more precise.

The only thing that had a high impact on the study was driving record. Those that were in an accident already were about 80% more likely to get into another one.
