The second day of Coachella 2014 continued Saturday with a stellar lineup of bands that not only included big name acts such as Lorde, Pharrell Williams, Capital Cities, CHVRCHES, Skrillex and Foster the People, but also brought out some really amazing surprise guests, including Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z and Beyonce. Here is a quick recap of what happened last night :

Lorde

17-year-old sensation Lorde took the stage during a chilly, windy evening but the singer who is originally from New Zealand persevered and told stories of her life and sang hits such as 'Team,' and the one that catapulted her to fame, 'Royals.'

Pharrell with Guests Snoop Dogg & Gwen Stefani

According to Fuse, a mini-sandstorm swept Pharrell's stage area and had a noticeable impact on both his voice and the stage show mechanics. But Pharrell and his hat marched on and promised that for next weekend's show, things would be better and quipped,  "Even if I have to wear a gas mask."

Pharrell threw a star-studded show for his fans, as he brought onstage Snoop Dogg; Gwen Stefani; DJ Diplo; Nelly, Tyler, The Creator and Busta Rhymes. Nelly came out to perform his 2002 mega hit, 'Hot in Herre' while Snoop Dogg and Pharrell came together for Snoop's 'Drop it Like It's Hot.' But the crowd really went wild for Gwen Stefani, who joined Pharrell for her 2005 single, 'Hollaback Girl.' B-A-N-A-N-A-S indeed.

Not to be outdone by husband Jay-Z, Beyonce also made a surprise appearance during sister Solange Knowles' performance. While Beyonce did not do any singing, she joined her sibling in a dance performance of 'Losing You,' which shocked attendees. She then hugged her sister when the routine was over and left the stage.
