Allegan County Clerk Joyce Watts has confirmed that Cindy Gamrat has filed to run in the special election for the 80th district House seat from which she was just expelled.

At first we thought that maybe it was just a typo, but no. Gamrat is one of the five candidates who have filed to run in the November primary election for that seat.

Gamrat, was involved in a sex and cover-up scandal with Rep. Todd Courser, and was expelled from office less than a week ago.

The special election is scheduled for November 3.

The filing deadline to run for the seat is 4 p.m. Friday.
