Check Out This Rare Video Of Prince Debuting A Longer Version Of ‘Purple Rain’ In 83′

Purple Rain is one of, if not the most, iconic songs in Prince's catalog of music.  The song was recorded live at the First Avenue benefit concert in 1983 and was used on Prince's album 'Purple Rain'.  The song on the album was pretty similar to the song that was recorded that evening, but it was edited for time, so the full song never made it on the album.

A video has surfaced of the full performance from 1983 and now you can listen to the song in it's entirety, as it was first performed!  Check it out!
