In January, Chuck Reid, owner of the CityFlatsHotel brand, announced that CityVū Bistro, the popular restaurant located atop CityFlatsHotel – Holland, would be re-branded as an events and conference space this spring.

CitySēn Lounge on the main floor of the hotel will also be updated to a new fast-casual restaurant environment.

CityVū Bistro’s last day of restaurant service will be Valentine’s Day with the remodel work immediately following on February 15th.

The project is being overseen by CityFlatsHotel’s parent company, Charter House Innovations, a furniture manufacturer and interior design firm. They expect the work to be completed in March when the space will open to the public for an Easter brunch buffet. CityFlatsHotel anticipates the event space to remain open during holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.

The decision to transform CityVū Bistro came in part from the success CityFlatsHotel has seen with their ballroom in downtown Grand Rapids.

Chuck Reid noted during his announcement that “the amount of weddings, special events, and corporate occasions in the Ballroom made the decision to repurpose CityVū Bistro an easy one.”

CitySēn Lounge on the main floor of the hotel will be updated to encompass additional seating and serve build your own pizzas in a fast-casual environment. Guests will be able to order pizzas and flatbreads directly from their cook, and choose ingredients, hand-made doughs, and sauces.
