You ready to get some money out of your supposedly worthless used CDs? That's 'Compact Discs' for the people who only know of Ipods. Well, CD's have just been added to the list of items accepted by Amazon.com's Trade-In program. Last week, the online retail store announced that users can mail in used CD's in exchange for Amazon credit. Amazon's trade-in program has previously accepted a wide variety of items including books, movies and video games.

The site collects eligible used titles from customers and resells them to third-party consumers. If anything, Amazon's new CD trade-in program defies impressions of the compact disc format's declining value. According to the site, a used copy of Madonna's horrible new album, MDNA, will trade for up to $5? Strange considering they are selling a new copy for that exact price.
