Update (5 p.m.): A suspect tied to the shootings has been arrested, according to East Lansing police.

They were taken into custody by police at an East Lansing residence in the 1800 block of Coolidge Road.

The suspect is believed to be involved in both shootings, and the secure-in-place order has been lifted.

The East Lansing and Lansing police departments worked together to apprehend the suspect, with support from area agencies.
