A Few Less Construction Zones this Weekend

Will you be traveling this Memorial Day weekend? If so, you will not be alone! AAA predicts that 1.2 million people from Michigan will travel 50 miles or more away from home this weekend. That number would be a 2.5% increase from the 2016 Memorial Day holiday and would be the 5th straight year of growth for Memorial Day travel.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) plans to remove lane restrictions on almost 70% of their road and bridge construction projects across the state. The move is to help holiday travelers avoid traffic delays.
