Reeds Lake Run Raises Cash For Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital!

Strap on your running shoes and get ready to raise money for P.O.R.T. -- the Pediatric Oncology Resource Team -- at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital during the 33rd annual Bank of America Reeds Lake Run in East Grand Rapids!!

You can register for the race right on up to the morning of, June 25th, or preferably before at either www.eastgr.org or www.reedslakerun.com.   If you have questions you can also call the East Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department at 616/949-1750.

Ever since I can remember, the "Food Pyramid" has been in place. It was the thing that you learned about in grade school that told you just how many foods from each food groups you should eat each day, and what foods belonged in that food group. I'm sure many of you are in the same boat, and that has been your dietary guide (if you used one) since as far back as you can remember. Well, the food pyramid has been thrown out the window.

Tragedy At The Annual Fifth-Third Riverbank Run

I'm constantly in awe of all of you Channel 957ers who are in good enough shape to do what you do on a basketball court, out in a baseball field or running in the annual Fifth-Third Riverbank Run!
