Mother of Sandy Hook Victim Writes Powerful Letter to Teachers

The mother of one of the 26 victims of 2012's Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre has written a powerful letter to the teachers of America.

Nebla Marquez-Greene had two children attending Sandy Hook Elementary that day. Her daughter, 6-year-old Ana Grace, was killed in the Connecticut massacre, and her son was uninjured in the attack.

Her letter, which was posted on the Education Week website is powerful, gut-wrenching and encouraging all at once. Read it after the jump.

A tech-savvy mom who was sick of her with her kids ignoring her calls has invented an app that makes it harder to ignore calls from parents.

Sharon Standifird helped develop an app called "Ignore No More" which is designed to help parents who are frustrated by their teens never answering their calls or calling them when they say the will. Like pretty much every parent of a teenager on the planet, Standifird was tired of not hearing from her kids when she asked them to call.
