A neighborhood in Hudsonville is not unlike most others in the US this time of year. Full of houses decked out for the holidays with lights of many colors, blow-up snow men in the front yard, garland in the windows, and wreaths on the doors. But, it seems that one of their neighbors is unhappy with the holiday cheer.

This "Grinch" as some are calling him, has left notes on mailboxes throughout the neighborhood voicing his displeasure with the displays.

Christmas lights are everywhere and we've been telling you about some of the biggest displays.  There's the huge display at a Spring Lake home. There's also a massive drive-through display at Fifth Third Ballpark.

But a couple of displays in Georgetown Township near Hudsonville have taken a slightly different twist.

Two brothers, who live on the same cul-de-sac, have developed a friendly rivalry by trying to out-do each other with their Christmas lights.

I can't be bothered to put up Christmas lights most years. In fact, I'm lucky if I have the time to get my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree up. But, that doesn't mean that I don't like Christmas lights, and I just discovered a display that I just may have to check out.

A Spring Lake man's annual high-tech Christmas lights display is up and running again. A few months ago, a team of 150 volunteers helped Brad Boyink start stringing close to 300,000 LED lights around his house, plus 13 other houses in his cul-de-sac.

The man contacted our friends over at WZZM 13, and told them that, while he wanted to remain anonymous, he thought that it was important to share a positive story with the community.
