UPDATE (2:10 p.m.): WZZM-13 is reporting that the family of Yolanda Reyes has confirmed to them that the body found in Walker this morning is that of the missing woman.

UPDATE (1:05 p.m.): Both WOOD-TV8 and FOX 17 are reporting that family has confirmed that the body is that of Yolanda Reyes who has been missing since April 24. Police have not yet confirmed the identity of the body.

Family members told our friends at WZZM-13 Walker police informed them of a female being found, but there is no positive identification yet. Walker police have confirmed they are in contact with Reyes' husband.

UPDATE (12:55 p.m.): Police have confirmed that the body found was that of a female.

A body has been discovered in a construction site in Walker.

The body was found in Bristol Ridge Condominiums, located at Three Mile Road and Bristol Avenue NW.

The gender of the victim is unknown at this time, according to the Walker Police Department, and police don’t know if foul play is involved.

Neighbors told our friends at WZZM-13 that officers were walking door-to-door, asking residents in the area if they had seen anything suspicious. Police were specifically asking about two vehicles.

The construction site is near the area where 40-year-old Yolanda Reyes was last seen. Reyes has been missing since April 24 when she disappeared in the area of 4 Mile Road and Bristol Avenue NW.
