The Michigan State Police are reminding you to NOT drive unless it's an emergency.  Emergency vehicles can not get to you.

A few major closings are:

Steelcase - All shifts are cancelled today

Helen DeVos Children's Hospital - For appointment call first

Woodland Mall - Not open until 1:00pm

US District 61 Courts & Bankruptcy Courts - Closed today

Lake Michigan Credit Union Branches - Closed today

Gilda's Club Of Grand Rapids - Daytime programs are cancelled and evening programs are currently pending decision.

Don’t abandon your car! Ottawa County Central Dispatch warns that unattended cars that impede snow removal can be impounded.

Many of their country roads are completely impassable — meaning don’t try it.

Grand Rapids fire department says fire-fighters will work to clear fire hydrants when they’re not responding to calls, but there are not enough of them to get all the hydrants so dig out the fire hydrants on your street if you can.

The City of Grand Rapids says trash collection is suspended for today. They plan to resume tomorrow — and did not say, but they’ll probably follow the regular schedule one day late, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
