Today, Trudy Ender, Executive Director of the Humane Society of West Michigan, brought Autumn back into the studio.  Last week, we talked about their weekend event “Love-a-Bull” and their discount adoption charges.  The event was a huge hit and the adopted out over 24 animals!

Of course, Autumn, a 3 and one-half year old terrier/pitbull mix, is ready for the right home.  She’s full of energy and very loving.  All you have to do to get the adoption process started is either call the Humane Society at 616-453-8900, or log on to their website  www.hswestmi.org.

Trudy also talked to me about a couple of fun events they have coming up at the Humane Society. The first one is this Friday night at Diversions Night Club in downtown Grand Rapids! "The Dog Show" kicks off at 9:30 Friday night, and all of the proceeds from the evening get split between the Humane Society and C-Snip! Trudy says it's an awesome, and really fun time, and that the folks at Diversions put on a great show!

Also coming up is the Humane Society's Holiday Open House. This fun, family event will be taking place on Saturday, December 1 at the Humane Society from 10:30am until 4:00pm. You can check out the facilities, meet some of the amazing pets, and take part in a ton of activities right at the Humane Society. They do want to note that if you are planning to adopt a pet at the event and have current pets at home, you need to bring their veterinary records with you.
