Authorities Identify Body Found Buried in Muskegon County as Bobbie Maples

The Muskegon county Medical Examiner has confirmed that the body found in Muskegon County on Jan. 22 is that of missing 32-year-old Bobbie Maples.

Police informed her mother Thursday morning.

Maples went missing after leaving her home in Roosevelt Park on December 15, 2014, less than two weeks after giving birth to her daughter.

Police were led to the private property in Fruitland Township where they located the body Friday night by a tipster.

The manner, cause and circumstances of the death are still under active investigation.
