Originally from Allegan, I have lived in Grand Rapids since 2007. I’m a Grand Valley State University grad. I remember taping songs off the radio and making mixtapes as early as fifth grade, and I have been collecting vinyl albums since I was 16! My favorite bands are Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan and T.Rex. National Weather Service Grand Rapids: EF-1 Tornado Struck Kentwood
That wind and rain buried in a thunderstorm Sunday night that struck Kentwood just before 10:30 p.m. included a tornado, National Weather Service Grand Rapids meteorologist Brandon Hoving said.
Update (3 p.m.): The National Weather Service said the tornado was an EF-1, with peak winds of 100 to 110 miles per hour. The tornado, which injured six people, cut a swath of 300 to 400 yards wide near Cut
