It's official: Actress Jane Lynch will host the 2011 Emmys, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences confirmed Thursday.
"Jane was my first - and only - choice as the host for this year's Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said 'yes,'" executive producer Mark Burnett said in a statement.

In an announcement on Belle Isle this morning, Kid Rock announced he will play at Comerica Park on August 12th. Sammy Hagar will open the show. Tickets will go on sale Saturday June 11 at 10:00am.

Actor Jeff Conaway Dead at 60
'Grease' and 'Taxi' star Jeff Conaway died Friday after falling into a coma two weeks ago, TMZ is reporting. He was 60.
Conaway was known for his role as Kenickie in the 1978 movie-musical 'Grease.' From 1978-1981, he also played Bobby Wheeler on the sitcom 'Taxi,' earning a Golden Globe nomination along the way before leaving the series after its third season.
