Katy Perry works fast. The singer has reportedly moved on from her failed marriage to Russell Brand already! Rumor has it that she is dating Baptiste Giabiconi, who in addition to being incredibly well-coiffed and appears good-looking even behind a pair of shades, is the highest paid male model in the world.
So Perry has swung from a British comedian to a hot French model who also sings? Obviously, Perry doesn’t have a type! She’s an equal opportunity dater, not to mention beautiful, rich, talented, famous and a catch.
Lady Gaga‘s two-hour ‘Oprah’s Last Chapter’ special airs Sunday, March 18, at 9 PM ET, on OWN. The big to-do about the interview is that Gaga has proclaimed, via a preview clip, that this will be her last major chat for quite some time as she enacts a media moratorium. Leaking that particular sound byte could be a savvy promotional strategy employed by OWN execs in order to get people to watch and send the ratings through the roof, since Gaga might be shutting up for a while. Even so, the special is worth watching, since the Mother Monster is joined by her own mama, the lovely (and lookalike) Cynthia Germanotta, during the chat.
Jermaine Jones‘ dismissal from ‘American Idol‘ over outstanding arrest warrants was addressed on tonight’s episode (March 14.) It cleared up a lot of questions and hopefully squashes the rumors that the gentle giant is some sort of violent criminal, as press reports began to indicate when news of his ouster broke.
Darren Criss, who plays Blaine on ‘Glee,’ was offered the hosting gig on ‘X Factor.’ The position on the show was left vacant when Steve Jones was fired earlier this year along with half the mentoring panel.
Justin Bieber is once again showing his devotion to God and his Christianity through ink. The teenage dream got another religious tattoo only a few months after debuting the face of Jesus Christ, which lives on the back of his left calf. The new tatt is a pair of praying hands and it’s right next to the famous face of Christ.
You haven’t truly made it as a pop star once you’ve had a No. 1 hit. You have yet to peak even when you nab a role on a hugely popular reality TV singing competition. You have reached the height of fame, however, when you launch your own branded fragrance and that’s just what Maroon 5 singer and ‘The Voice‘ coach Adam Levine is doing.
The infinitely stylish and tattooed vocalist will launch his debut scent, 222 by Adam Levine, in May of 2013.
On tonight’s (March 7) episode of ‘American Idol,’ the Top 13 were asked to perform songs by Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder. The girls performed Houston’s hits, while the boys tackled Wonder’s work.
So who was the soul brave enough to attempt Whitney Houston‘s biggest hit, ‘I Will Always Love You,’ on tonight’s tribute episode of ‘American Idol‘ (March 7)? The petite powerhouse known as Jessica Sanchez, that’s who. How’d she do?
Stevie Wonder is not Colton Dixon‘s wheelhouse, since he is an alt rock singer. So he was easily the most challenged of the boys on tonight’s episode of ‘American Idol‘ (March 7) when he sang ‘Lately.’ That said, he bravely and gamely soldiered on. He was flat at some points and sharp at others. Was it a flawless performance? No way. But it was not reason enough to send him home.
Joshua Ledet went first on tonight’s episode (March 7) of ‘American Idol‘ and he absolutely tore through Stevie Wonder’s ‘I Wish,’ delivering a performance so full of soul that we think they heard him all the way up there in heaven. He was grooving while singing and even gave J. Lo a shout out from the stage, mid-song, which was a very nice touch. It was evidence of his charm and he exuded confidence as America watched.
Tonight (Feb. 29) marked the second live performance episode of ‘American Idol‘ Season 11. All the girls performed this evening, with only half able to go through to next week. It was another mixed bag of talent, with country gals and torch singers sharing the stage. We also tried to keep track of how many times Randy Jackson said “Yo” but it was futile. It’s like every other word.
Texan Hollie Cavanagh, who didn’t make it past the audition rounds on Season 10 of ‘American Idol,’ got to make her live performance debut on tonight’s episode (Feb. 29.) It wasn’t her time last year, but she certainly made the most of the chance she has been given. She performed Christina Aguilera‘s ‘Reflection’ for her live debut on Season 11. It’s a big song so does she have the big voice? Oh yeah.
