He was terrified of the water and didn't know how to swim, but 13 year old Jordan Rice is being regarded as a hero today.

When he realized that not all of his family could be saved when the flood waters in Australia hit a high point, he begged rescuers to save his younger brother first. Rice and his mother were swept away and drowned in the country's massive floods this week.

Rice is being hailed as a hero today after he gave up his life for his younger brother Blake, 10, when his family's car got caught in the floodwaters that have so far killed at least 15 people and left 70 others missing.

There are Facebook pages in his honor popping up all over the place. People are using them as a makeshift shrine to the brave little boy.
