We're all getting smarter and avoiding ATM fees, because of that banks are hiking up fees to make up for the loss.

CNN Money reports that in the last five years, ATM fees have jumped almost 23%. On average a customer is now charged $4.35 for each transaction at an out-of-network ATM. That's a fancy way of saying you're being charged a boatload of money if you don't pull from your own bank's ATM, but we already knew that.

Anyone else remember when it was only a couple bucks to use another bank's ATM?
