ArtPrize Top Ten Announcement Is Thursday

ArtPrize's first week goes by fast.  Voting for the top ten ends Wednesday at 11:59pm.  Get out and see as much art as you can between now and then and vote for your favorites.

The announcement of the top ten is on Thursday, September 29.

The top ten will be announced at an hour long event at Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids.  It will take place from 6:00pm - 7:00pm.

Each entry that makes it into the top ten is guaranteed prize money.  First place wins $250,000, second place $100,000, third place $50,000, and fourth through tenth places win $7,000 each.

ArtPrize's top ten announcement will also feature entertainment.  The Crane Wives will perform.  The Crane Wives are an indie-folk band from Grand Rapids.  They are the best Grand Rapids has to offer so it makes sense for ArtPrize to bring them in.  Check them out Thursday.  It's only a matter of time before a major record deal and national attention come their way.

Whether your favorite makes it or not, ArtPrize's top ten announcement is another good excuse to get downtown and see some great artwork.
