ArtPrize is set to kick off on September 19.  Each year the competition brings a few new surprises, among those this year is an entry valued at $25,000.  It will be auctioned off to benefit West Michigan charities.

The piece, titled “The Grand”, includes 14K white, yellow, and rose gold.  It also has 117 bezel set white and blue diamonds.

The Grand is a collaborative work of the goldsmiths at Craft-Rivival Jewelers, Brandon Case, Jayson Case, and Roger Conely.  It is entered in ArtPrize under Jayson Case’s name and can be seen at 16 Ionia Ave SW.

The Grand will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to local charities.  Which charities receive the most money will be determined through online voting.  The charities eligible to receive votes have yet to be named.
