ArtPrize Dates Set Through 2017

ArtPrize has been a huge thing for the city of Grand Rapids and it isn't going anywhere any time soon. Organizers announced Wednesday morning that they have already set the dates from 2013 through 2017.

ArtPrize 2013 will be held from September 18 until October 6. With artist registration for 2013 beginning on April 22 and venue registration beginning March 11.

ArtPrize organizers also said that they are expecting to operate 2013 at a break-even level, or even at a profit, which would be a change from the past couple of years. ArtPrize has run at a deficit through the first years and has accumulated about $3 million in debt.

ArtPrize organizers will also be meeting with other cities to pitch ArtPrize ideas. They have a meeting in Minneapolis in May.
