ArtPrize 2012 Spotlight – Opening Weekend Events And Activities
The first weekend of ArtPrize can be one of the most fun. There are 1,517 entries and the "short list"/top 25s have not been announced, making it too early to name any favorites.
There is so much to see and do and so much art to be discovered. Let's take a look at some of the highlights of the first weekend of ArtPrize 2012.
Live spray painting demo at The B.O.B. - Fri/Sat/Sun, 4:00pm - 7:30pm at the top and bottom of each hour.
Learn how to paint on an iPad or iPhone. - Friday, 12:00pm - 4:00pm at Rumors.
Calligraphy demo. - Friday, 1:00pm - 4:00pm at Women's City Club.
Family drawing activity. - Friday, 4:00pm - 7:00pm + Saturday, 10:00am - 7:00pm + Sunday, 12:00pm - 3:00pm at GRAM.
ArtWalk. - Saturday, 8:00am at Rosa Parks Circle.
Wood sculpture carving demo. - Saturday, 12:00pm - 6:00pm at Grand Rapids Public Museum.
Live music. New act every 30 minutes. - Friday, 4:00pm - 10:00pm. Saturday, 12:00pm - 10:00pm. Sunday, 12:00pm - 6:30pm at St. Cecilia Music Center.
