This seems like it's happening just a bit too much lately, this time 1.2 billion user names and password combinations have been reported stolen.

Sources say the breach comes from a Russian cyber-gang who were able to gather confidential information from 420,000 websites. This not only includes user name and password combinations, but also credentials for more than 500 million email addresses.

According to Time and USA Today, the criminals have been using the stolen information to send spam through social networks, and has yet to sell the data to the black market.
