A Saturday afternoon power outage put about 2,600 people in the dark. What was the cause?

Turns out a squirrel got into the Fuller Avenue substation, according to MLive.

I feel as though we've reported on this before. Maybe I'm just thinking of the squirrel that got into the GRPD patrol car a few years ago.

Either way, customers lost power around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, and crews had things taken care of a few hours later, around 5 p.m.

No word on the squirrel, though one can only assume...well...let's have a moment of silence for the Fuller Avenue squirrel.
