Bad news for Michigan "American Idol" fans. The annual tour featuring the show's best singers won't be coming to Detroit after all.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, late on Friday the people responsible for "Idol" announced that they would be cancelling nine of this summer's tour stops, including the one in Detroit. The blamed the change of production scheduling changes.

In addition to the Detroit show, the scheduled tour stops in St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Tulsa, Broomfield, Ontario, Oakland and Las Vegas have been cancelled. The July 6th show in Rosemont, Illinois has been rescheduled for August 12th.

Fans who purchased tickets can get a refund from the point of purchase (where the bought the tickets). Unfortunately, they won’t be reimbursed for the fees on the tickets.
