It's pretty standard, when you go to the movies you turn your cell phone off or put it on silent once the movie starts. The lights, the sounds, everything about a cell phone in a movie theater is distracting.

However, if you're one of those people who CAN'T even live without your phone for a duration of a movie, than you'll appreciate this. CEO of AMC Entertainment, Adam Aron, is considering allowing phone/text-friendly theaters.

The Verge reports that Aron is trying to grow the company further by being more appealing to the millennials, which includes letting them use their cell phones.

When you tell a 22-year-old to turn off the phone, don't ruin the movie, they hear 'please cut off your left arm above the elbow,'" Aron tells Variety. "You can't tell a 22-year-old to turn off their cellphone. That's not how they live their life."

He does acknowledge that they would have to figure out a way to allow this and not disturb other moviegoers. He suggests the possibility of separate theaters for phone use and people can make their choice.

Do you think this is a good or bad idea?
