Sometimes, a simple "Hello" is all it takes, and in Adele's case, this is no joke. The British pop star returned to the music scene with her new single, "Hello," which became the first song EVER to sell over 1 million digital downloads in one week (with an incredible 1.11 million downloads).

This nearly doubles the previous record holder, Flo Rida's 2009 hit single "Right Round." Since its debut, "Hello" has also become Adele's first song to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100, as well as the 24th song ever to debut at the top of the charts. And although all of these feats are impressive enough, Adele is also the first woman to top the Hot 100 in over 22 weeks. With over 61 million online streams, Adele's unexpected return is proving to be more than welcome.
