You can take the girl out of North London, but you definitely can't take the North London out of Adele.

After touring through Europe for four months in support of her latest album, 25, Adele officially kicked off the United States leg of her Adele Live 2016 tour in Saint Paul, Minnesota last night (July 5). In signature fashion, it involved a mix of sweeping vocal swells and enough F-bombs to raze a small suburban development.

"I encourage you to have a beverage tonight because it will only make my show better," the "All I Ask" singer told a cheering crowd.

The singer shared a story about her very first Fourth of July in the United States, which she fittingly spent in a diner eating chicken and donuts. And while she noted she's ready to party with American crowds, she reminded them that her set list remains less than cheery.

"It's not like a Pitbull show," she shared.

The 18-song set list, half of which is straight from her third LP, included hits like "Hello," "Send My Love (to Your New Lover)" and "Skyfall." Plus, in honor of her time in Minnesota, Adele paid tribute to the late Prince, but not with her own performance — instead, she played the video for "The Most Beautiful Girl in The World."

“I did maybe consider covering a song, but f--- it, it's Prince," she said, according to Billboard

Oh, and she made a point to shut down rumors she and boyfriend Simon Konecki have gotten secretly married. "I would tell you if I did!" she insisted.

Adele Live 2016's second leg will land in Saint Paul again tonight before heading to Chicago for three shows and venturing into the Pacific Northwest. The last U.S. show is in Houston in November.
