A new study shows that long distance relationships really DO make stronger feeling develop in relationships.

The study showed that the distance actually made relationships grow stronger because the duo was able to work on the mental part of their relationship before the physical. Since you have a limited time to communicate with the partner, they were more likely to communicate about topics of intensity and meaning.

The study also concluded that because we have better forms of communication (like Skype, facebook and Text messaging) that the couples had more opportunity to talk and took advantage of that fact. This is much unlike how long distance relationships had to be handled not that long ago (where you could only write or talk on a land line phone).
