This happened at a New Year's Eve celebration in Hong Kong last year. 25-year-old Reese McKee met a girl who was crying because she had lost her friends. Her name was Katie, they got to talking and ended up spending the entire evening together.

After Katie had found her friends they went their separate ways. But before they parted she told him to find her.

With no e-mail or phone number, and only a photo on his phone, he did what any millennial in their mid-twenties would do, he turned to social media for help. This blew up huge, so big the media got involved, and people ended up overwhelming Katie with messages. It got so bad that she had to delete all of her social media profiles.
