In July, Zack Brown started a kickstarter campaign, asking for $10 to make potato salad. That $10 turned into $55,000, and hopefully some delicious potato salad. It also sparked a pretty lively debate about it being harmless internet fun, and others who felt that it "reveals a privileged internet class with too much money and not a clue how to spend it." And thankfully, Brown did deliver a pretty stellar potato salad party, unlike some other people who get the money and don't follow through. The event featured live music, food trucks, beer and over 3,000 pounds of potatoes.
